Comment period for Fed rule that would increase risk weights on certain assets ends Feb. 3.
The comment period for a proposal by the US Fed and other regulators that would increase the risk weights on securitized assets is ending Friday, despite calls for an extension. In 2011, the Fed issued two notices of proposed rules (NPR), one amending the other, concerning risk capital rules, as well as alternative standards of creditworthiness to be used in place of credit ratings. The comment period is to end February 3.
