Joseph Neu is the founding editor and publisher of International Treasurer in addition to his role as president and CEO of The NeuGroup. Mr. Neu launched International Treasurer in March 1994 and has over 20 years of experience researching and writing on corporate finance-related topics. The NeuGroup’s International Treasurer newsletter is widely regarded as the premier publication on treasury management for global 1000 companies. Through International Treasurer, Mr. Neu has earned a reputation as a leader and opinion maker on global treasury issues and as a leading supporter of treasury’s value to the enterprise.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Neu has dedicated himself to helping finance professionals learn from one another, improve existing practices and enhance their profession. Since 2001, he has led The NeuGroup in establishing a network of member peer groups, each aimed at professionals with specific functional or regional responsibility, to better facilitate this knowledge exchange. These peer groups have placed him and the company at the forefront of knowledge exchange for treasury functions, and The NeuGroup is actively working to expand this network into other areas of finance.

Prior to starting The NeuGroup, Mr. Neu worked in various roles at the Economist Group, serving as managing editor of its Finance & Treasury publication (successor to the Business International Money Report) and as a research analyst on numerous projects involving global treasury, derivatives markets and overseas business development. He also was a frequent contributor to the finance and treasury events of the New York division of The Economist Conferences.

Mr. Neu holds an M.A. in International Banking and Finance from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He lives with his wife and two boys in South Salem, New York.

Ted Howard joined The NeuGroup in 2005 as a research analyst and senior editor of International Treasurer, The NeuGroup’s flagship newsletter. In this capacity, he works with the associate director of Peer Knowledge Exchange on the research and content-development process for multiple peer groups, including the Global Cash and Banking Group and the Latin American Treasury Managers' Peer Group. He also is involved in the launch of new groups. As managing editor, he coordinates production on International Treasurer and is a frequent contributing writer.

Prior to joining The NeuGroup, Mr. Howard was a writer and researcher at Institutional Investor magazine. He has more than 10 years experience as a journalist covering the financial markets and has worked in various roles in the business and financial communication industry, writing for corporate clients and financial Web sites.

Mr. Howard holds an M.S. from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and a B.A. in History from Boston University.

Anne Friberg is a regular contributor to International Treasurer on topics related to regional treasury management and foreign exchange. Ms. Friberg joined The NeuGroup in February 2006 to support the growing number of peer groups facilitated by the company. As peer group leader, she oversees the relationship aspects and the planning and research process for the following peer groups: European Treasurers' Peer Group (EuroTPG), Latin American Treasurers' Peer Group (LATMPG), and the Foreign Exchange Managers' Peer Groups (FXMPG) I and II.

Prior to joining The NeuGroup, Ms. Friberg worked for several years in international treasury management with Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. in St. Louis, Missouri, where she also held positions in the corporate planning and investor relations departments. Later, she managed the post-IPO investor relations organizations at Amdocs in St. Louis and About.com in New York. As a London-based writer, she published several articles on international finance and treasury management.

A Swedish native, Ms. Friberg graduated from the School of Business, Economics and Law at Göteborg University in Sweden, and earned an International M.B.A from Thunderbird School of Global Management. She is multilingual and an avid traveler.

Bryan Richardson joined The NeuGroup in July 2007 as director of peer groups to support the growing number of groups facilitated by the company. In this role, he helps expand the universe of groups and member companies in addition to overseeing the relationship aspects and the planning and research process for several existing groups, including the Treasury Investment Managers’ Peer Group (TIMPG). He also supports the research process of other peer groups and authors articles for The NeuGroup’s flagship newsletter, International Treasurer.

Prior to joining The NeuGroup, Mr. Richardson was an active member of two peer groups in his role of cash manager at Gap, Inc. At Gap, his responsibilities included global cash management, banking relationships, corporate investments, cash flow forecasting and retail banking operations. Mr. Richardson has also held key treasury positions with Kinko’s, Inc. and Baskin Robbins, Inc. in southern California, where he was responsible for areas such as cash management, banking relations, merchant card processing, corporate and purchasing card programs, insurance and franchise financing. Further, he has worked as a treasury consultant and sales officer for US Bank.

In these capacities, Mr. Richardson has led many large-scale initiatives including RFPs, systems implementations, bank product implementation, and bank relationship and operational changes, all of which focused on cost savings and operational efficiency improvements.

Mr. Richardson grew up in Arkansas and earned an M.B.A. in Finance and International Business from the University of Arkansas and graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology  Mr. Richardson is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and an active member of the Association of Financial Professionals (AFP). He currently resides in Little Rock, Arkansas, with his wife and three children and enjoys running, reading, hiking and fishing.
