A hundred percent of respondents to a NeuGroup survey agree that an effective change-management program is critical to the success of transformation initiatives. Here are three other takeaways based on best practices and considerations:

Improvement opportunities. An effective change-management program is essential for transformation success, but only 7% said their programs are highly effective: Benchmark with peers to identify best practices and find out how to close performance gaps.

Change receptiveness. Fear of change is a major obstacle to successful change. Implement a formal program or adopt a solution to help institutionalize upskilling and improve change readiness so staff can make the necessary transition.

Closely together. A strong partnership with HR is essential, but most companies ranked the effectiveness of their collaboration with the function at 3 – on a scale of 1-5. Identify steps to building better working relationship with the HR team.
