Culture, Cocktails and Creole Cooking: NeuGroup Convenes in New Orleans

By December 8, 2022June 8th, 2023No Comments

This past week, NeuGroup celebrated the end of the year by taking a quick yet impactful trip to New Orleans. Staff came together to celebrate key goals achieved in 2022, build relationships with employees old and new and venture out into the glorious city of New Orleans with a number of memorable activities.

Once settled in at the Nopsi Hotel on Sunday, December 4th, the team took a stroll to New Orleans Drink Lab for a Mixology class that consisted of 3 different drinks. We learned a ton about what it takes to be the perfect bartender and host. Did you know the proper way to make a toast to your peers is to keep your drink at chest level? How many of you have been raising the glass above your head? Us too! #DrinkLabNola

We later headed to the historic Creole restaurant Brennan’s for a salon-style dinner. Discussions consisted of year-end highlights, personal interest in NeuGroup and suggestions on what we can do in the future to better our careers and those of our members. As the night continued, we stopped at the French Quarter for some end-of-night conversations—and another round of sazeracs.

Our NOLA Tip: Be sure to try the Bananas Foster if you plan to travel to New Orleans. It’s a must!

On Monday, December 5th, the team gathered for a meeting ran by CEO Joseph Neu to review company accomplishments, objectives for 2023 and new event ideas. The team ended off the afternoon with a delicious lunch and an intense round of The Go Game

Of course, we had to leave some time to explore the big city. We dropped by Vue Orleans for breathtaking views and an educational exhibit on the history of New Orleans. It truly was a great way to feel the city and see it from a whole new perspective. Afterwards, we jumped on to another sightseeing experience with the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus, allowing the team to adventure out into different neighborhoods and see some of the most popular attractions firsthand.

We had one last delicious dinner at Justine’s French Restaurant, where we indulged in some appetizing meals, recognized teammates for their hard work in year-end awards and gave a toast to ending off the year just right.

A special thanks to Alyssa McArdle for putting together such an amazing trip and allowing us to celebrate NeuGroup as a company.
