Internal Audit Embraces Agile

With the onset of the pandemic, internal audit teams found themselves having to be flexible — more agile — when it came to continuing to do their jobs providing assurance. What are some of the agile concepts they adopted?

NeuGroup for Internal Audit Executives is an invitation-only group for senior corporate internal audit professionals with responsibility for over-reporting to the board-level audit committee. The group follows NeuGroup’s time-tested approach for membership peer groups, including facilitated agenda development, benchmarking surveys, and professional networking. Founded in 2006, the group covers the unique challenges facing internal audit.

Interim meetings are meant for members of the specified peer group. These meetings originated in response to Covid-19 to keep members connected virtually in between semi-annual peer group meetings. They have a headline topic or topics presented for discussion, followed by an open forum for additional peer sharing and learning on other items.
