Two Truths and a Lie – Women Leadership in DEI
As corporations seek to deepen their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) efforts, women leaders stand out as innovators and change agents for authentic, strategic and sustainable programs.
Women in NeuGroup (WiNG), in partnership with CNote, led by CEO Cat Berman, and Seelaus Asset Management under CEO Annie Seelaus, will engage NeuGroup members to highlight opportunities for women in finance to learn, engage and drive forward DEI initiatives that are strategic, values-aligned and can push meaningful change within the organization. WiNG events are invitation-only.
In late 2018, after years of servicing a broad (but majority male) membership of corporate finance and treasury professionals, NeuGroup created an initiative for the growing—now roughly 30% of our membership—but not specifically served minority of the NeuGroup community: women.
Much has changed since WiNG first took flight, but NeuGroup’s mission remains the same in this new, virtual world: To offer women in treasury and finance functions opportunities to engage in discussion on career development with peers and hear from senior executives.
Peer group meetings are the core offering of NeuGroup, and the primary venue through which members engage with one another. Peer groups have historically met twice a year in person in one-to-two-day sessions with the purpose of strengthening relationships through personal interaction, sponsor-led education sessions, and member-only sessions for sharing best practices. These groups also have access to a members-only web-based collaboration site to continue discussions between meetings.
