By February 1, 2023No Comments

NeuGroup is celebrating Black History Month with special sessions, articles and podcasts reflecting our shared commitment with members, sponsors and partners to diversity, equity and inclusion.

Our goal is to spotlight initiatives to promote DEI throughout finance organizations at multinationals and their ecosystem of banks, brokerage firms, asset managers and technology vendors. Here’s just some of what you can look forward to this month:

This Thursday, February 2nd, our email newsletter NeuGroup Insights shares results of NeuGroup’s D&I Financing and Asset Management Survey in an article by Managing Director of Research and Insights Nilly Essaides revealing that treasury is the primary driver of greater engagement with minority-owned firms.

  • Ms. Essaides will offer members a deep dive into the D&I survey results on February 22nd.

A Policy of Opportunity White Paper: How Corporate Treasurers Are Taking the Lead in Partnering with Diversity Firms

  • Treasurers charged with funding and investing to support corporate growth are actively seeking greater engagement with minority-owned banks, brokers and investment managers. That’s according to NeuGroup’s November 2022 D&I Financing and Asset Management Survey.

On February 15thSidney Dillard, head of corporate investment banking at Loop Capital Markets, a Black-owned bank and brokerage firm based in Chicago, will moderate a discussion with colleagues on the current dynamics of fixed-income asset pricing for members of NeuGroup for Cash Investment.

On February 23rd, Mr. Podolsky will also lead a discussion on how corporate treasury teams can select diversity firms using scorecards with Goldman Sachs Investment Banking managing director and diversity champion Jia Shan. She’ll share how Goldman selects its D&I partners and the scorecard her firm uses.

NeuGroup will continue on devoting time to learning more about these initiatives in order to understand the value of DEI and distill insightful conclusions as a source of knowledge for our members.
