This February, NeuGroup held a series of meetings focused on promoting diversity & inclusion. Supporting minority communities and having a real impact while fulfilling treasury’s many roles within a company is a challenge that many corporates are now confronting. As a part of NeuGroup’s celebration of Black History Month, a number of our various peer groups and working groups hosted conversations and presentations in the last few weeks on how members can make a difference.

Formerly known as office hours, monthly interim meetings make the NeuGroup Process year-round. In just the last two weeks, NeuGroup’s many peer groups have held 15 sessions connecting knowledge sharing NeuGroup members to one another and subject matter experts. The meetings, once known as office hours, occur between meeting cycles, and this-January’s helped get the year started off right.

Though the fall meeting cycle is wrapping up, the NeuGroup Process continues. When the Covid-19 Pandemic upended the way businesses across the globe functioned, NeuGroup reacted quickly, utilizing digital meeting technology to keep the meeting cycle going.

Team collaboration apps allow NeuGroup members to safely share and learn from a distance during the pandemic. Most forward-looking treasury professionals (like our NeuGroup members) have been using web-based team communication tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams and others for years. But the onset of Covid has expanded their use within corporate suites—and these days dining room tables—creating a unique test laboratory to explore how they might be incorporated even more into daily use.
