TREX In Action: An Extraordinary Group of NeuGroup Member Companies Rolls Out a New Name

The newly rebranded group of market leading and iconic companies met with sponsor Societe Generale to share and learn on elections, digitization and more.

Members of NeuGroup’s newly rebranded Treasurers’ Roundtable for Extraordinary Companies, or TREX, gathered last week to share and learn in a virtual meeting sponsored by Societe Generale. Thanks to everyone who participated!

TREX was re-branded to provide a forum for treasurers from companies which have the following qualitative and quantitative characteristics:

  • Commanding position in its industry and across its business segments.
  • Well-regarded management team and strong corporate culture.
  • History of innovation and viewed as a ‘thought leader’ by the market.
  • Strong brand recognition and a reputation for excellence.
  • Relatively large revenue and/or market capitalization profile.
  • Multinational presence in several countries and across several continents.

The H2 virtual meeting was a combination of brief presentations to inform subsequent discussion in small-group breakouts. In these sessions, members heard from experts in discussions about the potential impact of the US elections for member companies across several markets including equities, foreign exchange, and interest rates. Member-led sessions included the digitization of treasury and its acceleration as treasury department strive to do more with less, counterparty credit risk management in an environment where some members have been reducing the number of bank relationships, and the credit rating agencies and managing these relationships.
