Oil & Gas Treasury Group – Creating an Energy Transition Briefing Template for the CFO and COP26 UN Climate Change Conference Outcomes

On the agenda are two sessions:

1) Creating a template to brief the CFO and colleagues on the Energy Transition Finance Story. This serves as a consolidation of what we have learned so far to share up the chain and provide a roadmap to carry energy transition initiatives forward. This will draw from a similar project with our ESG working group, and member guests from that group may join to share and learn with. The broader sustainability team, including the Chief Sustainability Officer, is encouraged to join for this session.

2) Relevant outcomes from the COP 26 UN Climate Change Conference. Experts from Societe Generale’s team and third-party partners will provide a brief recap and then the treasurers will engage in a discussion of how outcomes from COP 26 might shape plans and initiatives for next year.

Members will be invited to a special social hour following the main sessions.

NeuGroup for Energy Treasurers is a new offering currently in pilot mode. A new series designed to help Oil & Gas companies navigate the transition to a zero-carbon world. The plan is for 3-4 sessions to pilot a treasury sector group focused on energy transition or a broader mandate. Targeting treasurers, assistant treasurers, and experienced capital markets professionals at upstream and midstream companies.

Peer group meetings are the core offering of NeuGroup and the primary venue through which members engage with one another. Peer groups have historically met twice a year in person in one-to-two-day sessions with the purpose of strengthening relationships through personal interaction, sponsor-led education sessions, and member-only sessions for sharing best practices. These groups also have access to a members-only web-based collaboration site to continue discussions between meetings.
